I have done cross cultural research and am currently interested in obesity and migrant farmworker health.
Biography
Dr. Orringer received her undergraduate degree in anthropology from Harvard College. Her residency and general pediatric fellowship training at U-M's Mott Children's Hospital.* She practiced in Ypsilanti prior to joining Howell Pediatrics in 2002. Her clinical interests include breastfeeding, obesity, and sports injuries. Research experience includes cross-cultural experiences of menstruation, adolescent female exercise, television viewing patterns of preschoolers, and impact of poverty and employment on child health. In her spare time, she enjoys playing and coaching soccer, running, skiing, reading, and spending time with her husband, two children, and two dogs.
